Our Business
Mano Palm Oil Plantation (MPOP) stands as a prominent player among Liberia’s leading plantation companies. Our plantation, covering 10,324.72 hectares, is dedicated primarily to the cultivation of Pam Oil. These lush plantations are strategically spread across various regions, including Bomi, Grand Cape Mount, Lofa, Matambo, and Zodua Estate.
The journey began in 2011 when we initiated the planting of this estates, culminating in its completion in 2014. Situated approximately an hour and a half from Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, by car, MPOP’s estates encompass both accessibility and natural beauty.
MPOP’s processing mill, located in Grand Cape Mount, boasts an impressive capacity of 60 metric tons of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) per hour. Operating in two shifts, our mill typically processes FFB for an average of 12 hours a day, contingent upon crop supply. Our mill receives Fresh Fruit Bunches from all 5 estates and plans to start receiving FFB from smallholders and external farms.
Our operations follow a meticulously designed process. It begins with the careful harvesting of oil palm crops to collect Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB). The next step involves the processing of FFB at MPOI’s Mill, located in Grand Cape Mount. Here, we extract palm oil from the fruit flesh, resulting in the production of Crude Palm Oil (CPO).
By 2025, MPOP is committed to a significant milestone: the establishment of Liberia’s first palm oil refinery. This groundbreaking development will mark a pivotal moment in our journey towards greater sustainability and value addition within the palm oil sector. Stay tuned as we work diligently to bring this innovative project to fruition!
MPOI is dedicated to sustainability and is actively working toward obtaining RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certification. We are fully committed to implementing RSPO Principles and Criteria. Additionally, we take pride in conducting all CPO trading operations in collaboration with strategic partners who are not only members of RSPO but also adhere to ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) standards.
At MPOP, we combine excellence in palm oil production with a steadfast commitment to responsible and sustainable practices.
